To correct this problem follow the steps mentioned below [Please note that if you have set the Color profile manually then don’t alter it. This may affect your work especially if you are an artist or a graphics engineer]
- Right click on Desktop. Click on the menu item Screen Resolution
- In the appeared window click on "advanced settings"
- Now a tabbed window will appear. Click on "Color Management" button in the "Color Management" tab
- Ensure that the device selected is the Display you are using.
- Tick the check box "Use my settings for this device". Otherwise you won't be able to change the Profiles associated with the device.
- Then Add the Profile named "sRGB IEC61966-2.1". Select the added profile and click on "Set as Default Profile".
- Remove the other profile.
- Click on Close – OK – OK
- Now refresh the desktop. Open the image in Picture Viewer.
